Ok that is a super hilarious one from YouTube (or whatever entertainment show). And guess what? They get hard and high from talking computers o.O That surely brings the meaning of "download to [my] laptop" a whole new meaning.

While we NUS/NTU/SMU students are busy mugging at home and in schools for the upcoming exams, the US witnessed another school shooting, this time, in Virginia Tech, leaving 33 dead and many more wounded. Virginia Tech is a state university in USA, in the state of Virginia.

While it is not known whether the gunman was a student of the school, it really raises a brow over the security within the campus, as well as the fact that the US allows (almost) any tom, dick or harry to trot a gun.

Seemingly, innocents die whilst some person with a perfectly insane mind goes about in a rampage hunting them down with the very weapons the government allows for. Initially used for self-protection, it sure has taken on a new meaning and use.

RIP to those who died there.

On top of that, what drew me to this was that there were 2 shootings in the very same school - at a student dorm and in an engineering building.

Imagine something like this happens in NUS now. Gosh. How many of us would mistake the shots as that of crow-culling, and the fire-siren (if used) as "just another exercise"??

Maybe if it happens, the top half of the bell curve would be gone. Ehh...isn't that a great idea for all those who are struggling to keep afloat? What a thought.

On top of that, a rumour is circulating that someone killed him/her-self...stressed over studying. Could it be stress which lead to such an act? An act of outrage, of criminal proportions?

Luckily, Singapore has a law against guns, but then again, you can't really stop someone from messing around with 2 huge choppers finding each and every NUS student studying along the benches right? Hehs.

Maybe, that's why they have our Security Uncles. Hopefully, we are safe enough, else, why do I pay so much in school fees for?!

Barely made it through 2 days with severe headache/heavy head...had to lay on the bed to rest and sleep for many many hours. Probably the result of late nights? Hmm...I wonder...

Revision's been pretty bad. Switching on and off periodically, like a sine wave. Why? This is getting bad...4 days to go...

Was at e2 labs with Enping and Yihui today. Tried doing up my 2108 revision/play with Matlab, but in the end I spent most of the time trying to figure out the different commands. Feeling pathetic. Probably also that I was just relaxing with Junyong and Tiong Chuan now and then, poking fun at poor Amanda.

I need more gears. Think my gearbox is stuck?

On other news...Massa won F1!!!! Finally...this time round the lad did great and made no mistakes, a finish from pole to podium! Bravo...time to build on the momentum, Ferrari!

I have been suffering flu symptoms and may not be able to recover by tonight. Therefore, I would like to cancel the lecture/turorial (my group) for tomorrow (05/04/07). The make-up lecture/tutorial will be on 12/04/07.

Super long holiday for the weekend? 4 day weekend, why not? Add a couple of days of leave and viola! You get almost a week off from work/school/teaching!

Disappointingly, we didn't manage to get enough people for soccer, else we could have an early morning soccer game in view of the postponement of this lecture. But heck, the lecture could have been done with sooner lor. Why drag our time? Sighs.
