Ahh...so relaxed...Woke up and the weather was all fine, so went jogging 'cos long time nvr jog liaoz...followed by a trip down NUS to meet Zhenming, but actually wanted to meet up with Eliz, but never did 'cos i reached there too late. Haiz.
After tt went to his room @ PGP...not bad I muz say. Looks like condo! lol! And pretty big block too! Maybe I'll change my mind on staying at these hostels. Can save $$ mah...haha.
Went to watch The Last Samurai @ Cineleisure...nice man! Cine also change a lot liaoz...now got this shop which sells lotsa transformer stuff! Think I'll go buy one of those which I always wanted to have! Lambro...Either that or the Subaru Smokescreen...less than 70 bucks...shld be ok ba. ^^"

Ahh...first we have driverless trains having problems...look at the NEL and LRT. Now...even the trains which have drivers also break down...
Today was on the East-bound train towards the city to meet Marcus (net fren) at city hall, when the train broke down. Was initially @ chinatown ktv with my log frens...ah.
So the train was sorta stuck bet. Tanjong Pagar and Outram Park stations...kept reversing, dunno wad happen. Some more it's e new train which juz arrived last year. And it din help with the driver juz saying that there is some technical fault...heh. 30 mins passed...and soon we were at Tanjong Pagar...with all the emergency doors activated. Heard some generator nice in the background, and the train crawled (literally) to the station. Had to quickly get myself outta there and take a bus to city hall...took 605 (had no idead initially!) and arrived juz 45 mins later than the 6:30pm agreed upon at first. Hungry by then sia...

COMMISSIONED LIAO LO! ^_^ Finally the day has arrived, and gone..lol
Weather was not perfect to start off..started pouring @ ard 1.30pm...Yea...raining cats and dogs, literally >.< Cat I was declared...meaning, all activities to be stopped! And the sky was all gloomy and such...no sun to be seen...anywhere! Sheesh. All of us were so low morale all of sudden, 'cos of the weather. It was perfect, sunny in the morning! Good weather, good cloud cover, but not grey clouds to cover the entire sky...but all changed in a matter of hours. The winds blew the grey clouds towards SAFTI...and later the parade square...
We all still continued with the preparations etc...but still the weather was damn bad. Jun Hao came along to talk to us, 'cos he's involved in the parade as usherer. Had to redo the nominal roll signature (Plus some *ahem**ahem*) and got wet..lol. But wad the heck. The time is near....
Got checked by SSM SOL, and 2WO Seet and Staff Hari. As soon as the rain stopped a bit, we all started to march off towards the Warriors' Hall, to prepare for the weapons inspection and warm-up conducted by Parade 2IC, Edmund Joseph TwoHill. Parade Commander was my friend, Ghim Song! Cut my finger...but all right, cos I stopped the bleeding in time ^^" But seems like my hormat not tt good today...ack.
Rain still fell as time drew near, and the parade was (definitely) delayed...then we formed up and go ready to march to the FUP near the Parade Square. When we reached there, the rain stopped! Clouds moved off and there was a window of opportunity! w00t! :) So the parade carried on without a hitch! Got to see CPT Yong, CPT Lee, CPT Jason Ong, CPT Jason Chia and 2LT John! Well, real glad to see them! But also a little nervous, so many flashes of lights and many many ppl, clapping at our every movement (initially).
But as the parade went on, they also quite sian *lol* cos of the numerous times they had to stand up and sit down (everytime we do hormat they hafta stand up haha!). Everything went on fine, with no rain, clear skies... But when the President talked to us, we looked up and saw the grey clouds approaching...an ominous sign...o.0' We all were muttering, "Hurry Up! Rain coming liao!" Indeed, a slight drizzle came (nothing much la! We kenna even heavier b4 during rehearsals) and we were praying it would go off b4 we go in to let our parents to put on our ampulets.
When we did the slow march, the rain sorta stopped, so we were quite eager to quickly get onto the parade square. The band marched off, and we started to feel the first bits of rain...not good sign we all thought. But, to our delight, we managed to be given the all-clear to move to the parade square! Elated we are! Definitely! :) No drizzle would ever stop us from this moment! So when the band came in slowly, we were all quite worried, and someone in front told them to scurry off quick 'cos we're marching in! lol! *Sheesh*
And everything else....juz falls into place :) The throwing of the peak cap (Shown in friendster) was done! And we all hugged and jumped like nothing...finally! ^^"
Dinner was @ DHA for me and my parents, my bro, Patrick and grandmother all went to the Gym for the buffet dinner. Sitting @ the prizewinners' table (no. 24) was a Lt. Col Eddy from the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) and his wife, another PSC scholar in MINDEF, and a pastor. Together was Bryan and his girlfriend (soon to be married!), who was the other SOM. Actually thought our CO SOL LTC Billy Yap would join us at our table....but it seemed not. 7 dishes, with the Yu Sheng for starters, followed by Shark's Fin, Fried Butter Prawns with Pineapple, Pepper Chicken, Fried Noodles and desert was Chin Chow Longan. (Heard tt some of those normal square tables had the desert served b4 the noodles came ^^") The Chinese Orchestra Ensemble from MDC provided much of the music to entertain us.
Reached home...at 11pm...

Sigh had to return to camp yesterday nite for my parade rehearsals this coming wed...well, for those who know, yes...my OCC is coming to an end soon! FINALLY! w00t! Ahh...am I glad, and I'm sad, 'cos of the friends I've made, and the memories which I treasure...Guess I a little on the emotional side...like a S.N.A.G. (Which aint good. lol!)
Today din do much parade stuff...but ONE thing...got sore throat (a littl' of it liaoz -.-') And another...today's weather was DAMN good! Imagine the light drizzle becoming a littl' heavy and then light...then a breeze runs past u...wowz! No sweat! ^"^ Today a lotta ppl do running ard parade square...guess SOP liao by now haha! :)

Went out with Jess, Gen, Vicky and Iswan today...yep...5 of us, but well, it was quite fun, and I was a little apprehensive actually ^^" 'cos din know who they were... *cough*scaredofmeetinggangmembersla:p*cough* but later agreed...haha. Was visiting my aunt's place b4 tt, then met them over @ City Hall :)
Turned out to be fun ppl, and Iswan...to me was cool lol...'cos prob. he's the oldest, and being in the Police, which I've always wanted to be.. SPF? MHA? Listen up! I wanna join! Gimme a scholarship! haha!
Well, Vicky was ard the same age as me, yep and I got along with him well too, and the gals...Haiz..Muz say I dun EXACTLY have the guts+ways to talk to them lol...but common ground to talk abt >> CS makes the outing a whole lot kewler :p

One point to take note of: Usually, the cycle of events is such tt A >> B >> C >> D >> E >> F rite? But...if you change things at B, do C, D and E still happen? Or they do not? My point being...If someone is supposed to die at B, but doesnt, C, D and E would not have happened! There should be a accumulation of changes to spiral a growing change! So therefore, everytime you change your future, the next events which follows should change accordingly...Which the movie (I Think) does not follow quite closely ^^"

Yepz. Got my sword and cert from the Chief of Army (COA)..Plus a military dinner with Shatec trainees serving us, and a post-dining-in 'party' @ the Cadets' Mess..cool day huh?

Nicholas also came to a problem >> He cant be parade commander 'cos of ONE small teeny weeny problem...his legs when in sed-ia position aint closed up, i.e. there is a 'quite large' gap in between his legs...and being a President commissioning batch, seems like the SSM and WSMs all wanted a change of contingent commander! v.v Hope that he gets to keep his place...It's tough for him already, doing a lotta sia-kang, and besides, he would make a great parade commander! Seriously, I view him with great esteem...

So wad with all e hoo-haa abt accomodation in OCS..well, my take is that since we're there, we've to go thru thick n thin with them (inclu. any sia kang?) Well, gotta make it clear we shldnt be doin THEIR stuff for THEM...plus communication's gonna be a prob... for me, Mat and Nicholas..haiz. -.-

Morning yest. was for LO lesson @ Khatib Camp...then met Chek Wun @ Army Market to get his stuff, give him some tips etc...Rushed off to meet Alvin, TTY, Jason Ong for dinner @ Suntec at 7pm...ah...nice jap dinner, and quite affordable too! ^_^ Nothing much planned for after tt, so decided to catch a movie...and shop ard. May still intend to get a pair of jeans...so still undecided yet. Any ideas from anyone?! (Open to all!)
Mona Lisa Smile is a great movie, sets u thinking on conformity and being in one's comfort zone, being opposed to any changes by anyone and removing any obstacles which may shake your current foundation. Julia Roberts' character is one which attempts to reshape the ideals of her students, telling them to think 'out of the box' and also relook woman-life in another way...Not necessarily marrying early and having kids and settling down and throwing away all other things.....it's set in the period of change, after WWII...her ideals were that of the modern world, one of which that women do not necessarily need to conform to the very fact and mental model tt they are 'supposed' to mary early, settle down, have kids and forget abt their careers. In fact, she does a small and quiet revolution of that through the way she teaches, and slowly opens their minds to another perspective....another light...
Man...this movie is an AWESOME one! Of course, change doesnt come overtime, and I felt tt her changes were a little too quick, and more on the subversive side...time is required nonetheless...and she needs tact :p (Somethin' which I can learn as well)

Haiz...thought I had messed up the entire interview...Kenna bombarded by the interview board for like 50 mins (or more!) [And during lunch time period too! 1235 to 1325!]
Matt's a worthy person for the ... therefore, wishing him all the best here! Though they did asked me who I believed shld get it, and I had said Bryan, well, seems like they've decided otherwise! Plus, me and him are both last interviewees...outta 4.. :)
