CNY fireworks was amazing! Especially today! Haha. Nice company, Exhilirating show of 1 million dollars worth of fireworks in 5 mins.
And today marks Day 1 of the 红包 collection season.
And I've an agenda to collect as little hongbaos than a certain someone *ahem*.
Well, we shall see how.
Today was about to head towards a boring and mundane day, till my cousins' kids came along. Had fun playing with them, so CUTE! Well, kids are full of boundless energy, aren't they? Jumping around, running around...
And I think one of them oughta have the newest iGallop for his upcoming birthday present. Haha.
After that, was deliberating about whether to watch a movie with my cousins, the interesting Memoirs of a Geisha. Alas, one just dozed off, and we just put on hold plans for watching it, and switched on the VCD player for an in-house screening of "The Myth".
And a surprise house-vistor, followed by me to your place too. Haha. (Just to make sure it gets evened out) Had fun, hope u did too! (Although I guess my aunties were pretty inquisitive?)
Day 2...coming up!

What's wrong with me?
Just laid out about 4 runs this week, and I'm disappointed with myself. Lousy runs. Even my trail running at Macritchie on Wed morning pretty much sucked. I could not chiong up the slopes as before, was it because of an increase in weight?
Or was it simply a lack of training?
Someone commented to me recently that I'm too skinny. Sighz. I'm confused. Should I gain upper-body mass?
I'm just super confused now. Haiz. Never mind, CNY period = Put on weight period?
Time to get more runs under my belt.
Thanks to those who ran with me over this week. But maybe, I'm just not up to it anymore. I wish ppl changed perceptions of me....REALLY. I'm not fast or whatever...

Would you understand how hurt I was on reading what you had posted? Of things which you think I had never considered before I did my decisions.
Of saying that I'm wasting money.
Of saying that I'm not capable of prioritising my duties, my roles.
Of not listening to my P.O.V.
Of thinking that you fully understand me, but I doubt you really do, it seems.
And the hurt is made stronger with the fact that I had always thought that you were a good friend, a good pal, and I had considered you close.
Yet, to hear that from you, directly, certainly stunned me.
No doubt your observations might be right, but what about your deductions from the observations?
And yes, I dun deserve to get the project. We all knew it from the start. I just wanted to try my luck and hopefully be in charge of this important event. But nah, I wasn't given, so my priorities shall shift. Still, I'll be concerned about the elected people and give them my support, but life is not just about it.
As much as I feel passionate about the things I'm doing, now I'm in a sudden blur.
Why can others do it and I can't? Sure, I respect and understand and truly appreciate your concern, but, did you ever give a thought or asked me why I had wanted to do them?
Was it a choice of mine to want to go for back-to-back events? No. But I had considered the physical and mental stress I would have, and I had talked to fellow ICs and friends regarding it.
I'm not out there to compete. I wanted to have fun.
I feel lost.
I feel looked down.
And above it all, I felt hurt by your comments.
Where's the support and trust to me? It does not mean that you think I can't do it, means I can't. I'll want to prove it to you, all the more. Yes, I've a strong-willed character, which might be bad (or good, whichever). But did you attempt to hear my side of the story? No. Not you. Sheesh.
Sigh, another lousy day from school. Life sucks.
Now I'm re-contemplating. Maybe it's time to just end it all.

Whew, managed to finish up my stuff for the day, and maybe for the week. Now at YIH, stoning and waiting for something to happen.
A real tiring 2nd half of the week, especially with the 3x 2hr lectures on Thursday, and the 2x 2hr lectures on Friday, with both days starting from 8am. Imagine, 8am lectures means that you have to wake up at 6am, which means that to get some decent sleep you would need to sleep at like...11.30pm?!?
The rain this week did not help matters. The whole weather seemed to have gone freakish for the past week or so, and rain just fell from the sky as though there were no tomorrow.
Talk about conducive environment, for sleeping, that is.
In fact, reports in Straits Times have stated that there are some strange weather movements this time round, with the storms moving over to Asia. Siberia, recording its lowest temperature at -64˚C; Japan having heavy storms; Malaysia having floods northwards of JB; and closer to home, non-stop rain for 48hours.
The cold weather certainly spawned different types of dressing in school, with students covering up more, wearing jackets and windbreakers to combat the cold. Basically, it seemed that the cold weather actually 'forced' students to cover up and dress more appropriately.
Anyway, just collected my Kukup photos from Konota yesterday, and despite the light rain, I decided to head over to ArtFriend and Popular at Bras Basah to scout for the materials to make my photo album, since the outcome were pretty nice.
Reached home probably at 7.30pm (145 is a no-no during peak hours, just gets into jams, is crowded BUT definitely good for sleeping, since I take the bus all the way to the terminal.
After settling down, had dinner with parents, and decided to embark on my ambitious project...to do a photo album for the Kukup trip, less the fireworks pictures (sadly, I've yet to use up that roll of film, no sun-rise and nice pictures to make the film work).
I'm really glad with the outcome, hope you guys like it!
It'll get its rounds about Rovers! So just be patient!
Time to rest...Haha...

Manz, looking back, the weekend was sure packed. Adding the Hari Raya holiday into the fray, it simply did not help matters.
Saturday-Sunday
Was at Kukup with Rovers for the committee and alumni trip. A fishing village, staying in kelongs, viewing of nature reserves, admiring the wonderful sunset, and setting off the fireworks and sparklers. Simply great fun.
Not to mention the endless mahjong and bridge sessions. Simply addictive.
Basically, it was almost a whole night of fun without sleep, until tired bodies gave in and retired for the night. Hoping to catch the sunrise, I set my alarm clock at 6am, but the rain simply dampened my mood.
"It might be possible to stop raining later, I'll just wait for 30 mins or so" I said to myself.
So I slept on the couch at the chalet, waiting for the rain to stop. Alas, it did not. Which was quite sad, since I had looked forward to getting my sunrise pictures with the SLR I had brought.
And the tripod leg came loose. Which rounded off a bad raining day, which just did not stop even after reaching Singapore. Sheesh. A whole day of never-ending rain.
On top of that, I did not meet my cousin for family lunch. Darned. Why? I just question myself. Sigh, she's going back to US, again...till dunno when.
Monday-Tuesday
Met CPT Don, Tong Cai, Lionel, Sebestian, Vijay, Wan Poo and Xingda for a small gathering at Plaza Singapura, after which we headed to the Glass House for Fish 'N Co. dinner. Dinner was nice, though it started late, with problems of long queues and the rain. CPT Don was kind enough to fetch us from NUS to PS, and then back home.
After reaching home, washed up and headed to Junhong's house to 打麻将. By the time I got there, it was almost midnight. Gen, Grace, Huijun, Joo Hui, Weichuan were already there, and a round of mahjong was in progress.
Just looking at the rounds of mahjong being played was quite nice, but we 3 guys were trying to entertain ourselves and keep ourselves awake. After finishing one entire round of mahjong, we went over to AMK's S11 for some supper, and then back, which was pretty fast cos not all of us were eating.
And a new round of mahjong started after the supper, of which I was already starting to feel sleepy. And I lost, a little terribly. Oh well, just for the fun of it.
While talking at Junhong's room, I fell asleep, and a good 2 hrs of sleep certainly helped. Breakfast was settled at Bishan's MacDonalds, and we went our seperate ways thereafter.
Today was spent getting home, showering and changing to go out and meet the TCHS NPCC dudes. Met up with Henry, Jinshu, Alvin and Cheonghua at Clarke Quay Settler's Cafe, where we had a long first game with this board game which requires mapping out and territorial advancement. Interesting game with full of 'strategies' and 'schemings'.
The next game we had, was a card game, something which reminded us of bridge. Alas, we did not have much time and in the end, we played only 2 rounds for this game. And it was barely after we got a grasp of the gameplay.
Still, a long-overdue meet up with the NPCC dudes certainly helped. I felt so too, though I think we have a long way to go, and more outings are definitely required.
After leaving our seperate ways, went to Konota to send my film for processing, and managed to get my warranty set for my Nikon F55. On top of that, was looking for my acid-free paper to make the album, but I guess being a student with limited resources, I would be ending up with black paper and nice little corners already. Heck care whether the prints would yellow or fade. Anyway, they are all digital prints. Haha.
Night time, managed to go over to Joyce's place to get my CS1101C textbook and notes. And walking around in Hougang Mall, which I've not been for some time too.
Now, back home, sleepy, tired, shagged. Time to plan for my June holidays, and my upcoming competitions, if any. Was talking online to Wanling and Candice, and realised that looking back, I don't even know what I truly achieved. Or maybe, I'm packing my schedule now because I wish to achieve something.
In a sense, 2005 was memorable for me because I did my first marathon, compeleted my AHM, Mizuno run and NBRR, and I had ORD-ed and done my Cobra Challenge. Basically, to challenge myself. But I guess I had given up on some stuff which I had liked, like piano, music and even my third language. That's when the mind rules over the heart. Should it be that way? I would never know....would I?
Now, time to sleep...more outings? Lesser lectures please. Haha.
