Still need to blog whilst waiting for hair to dry, can't really sleep, though I need to wake up at 8am later *rawr*
To summarize, it was hot (in the day, up the waterfalls), cold (in the night, watching the stars), wet (in the night, in the flooded tents whilst it poured heavily outside) and dry (pre- and post-trip).
Cooked under the tent (comm. tent with the new flysheet design is good!) and the food was well-received (except for the veg, which I shld've cooked with noodles). So it seems like the icetreasure box of goodies helped boost morale.
Managed to watch nice stars, and lie on our backs on that piece of wonderful rock. Starry starry nite, indeed. Had special drinks to celebrate TQ and LY's combined bday. The brownies which went up, were in perfect condition. The apple candle too! So all in all, it was great. But the card was half-written, disrupted by the rain.
Nevertheless, we had fun in the night, the committee, the 3 girls and Wai Keung. It was really great being with people you know well, and being in the company of them. Warm feeling, plus...I just think it was a great night. Too bad, not much conversation, but I just liked the feeling of closeness and enjoyment.
Return bus journey from Kuantan to Larkin was pathetic. Waited for 1.5 hrs for the bus, and a stand-in coach came instead as the bus had broke down (apparently). Managed to reach Larkin at 2310hrs, and reached SG at about 2345hrs.
Had to deal with a participant who drank a bit too much o_O" en route home. Moral of the story: Don't try to finish a bottle of whiskey yourself, unless u already did it before. And even if you did, have the decency to tell the committee people.
On another note, lilies at Kuantan are nice! Esp. the fresh ones. Gives the nice smell of fresh flowers. And they're cheap! Can consider buying from there if you've got any gifts requiring flowers (or anywhere in M'sia la)
I think I should sleep now. like SERIOUSLY.
Nites all.

OMG. I love his guitar moves! I wanna learn the guitar!!!!
(So can swoon girls. lol)
Yea...results are out, brooding over it but nothing will help. Hopefully a trip and a movie would help kick it outta the system. I just cannot accept that no matter how hard I work for it I still cannot get the results I want.
Not that I have very high expectations.
Or maybe, I should expect it at A+ levels so that if it fails, at least I can give myself a pat on the shoulder and say "Well Done!"?
Helped that Tze helped me look at it, but initially wanted my friend to help me take a look at it 'cos her bday's just around the corner (Luck rubbing off me? Haha). But oh wells, she's not free...not at this moment.
Anyway, onto more sad stuff.
Today went for my 1-star kayaking course at ECP Big Splash, Paddle Culture. Initially the information was that the course was in the morning, so I happily took a cab down from Anqi's place (where Esther, Weili, Jinyao, Zhihao, Mark, Justin and me ton-ned the previous nite) to ECP, only to be informed that the entire schedule's changed.
My lesson is now 1pm - 7pm, instead of 8am - 2pm.
I was stunned. I had wasted $12 of cab fare, slept so little, woke up groggy, and barely had fun with my frens (who played throughout the night!) whilst I took my sleep on the lovable couch.
So I was now in a dilemnia. To go home or not? About 4 hours to spare, with 45 mins trip either way. That makes it difficult. Initially wanted to ask if I could seek refuge at my friend's chalet at ECP, but reckoned she had not woken up yet. So I did not bother to call, but left an SMS, hoping she would reply (should she be awake), and walked the long lonely journey from Big Splash to ECP Macs.
Had my breakfast, but no reply. Decided that enough was enough, and headed home.
Re-arranged with Andy on collection of my bag in preparation for the job which Geok gave me. It should come in handy, and I was back home in time to collect.
But I barely had any time to rest, before I had to take my lunch and zoom off to ECP, AGAIN.
And this time round, the bus broke down. Now I'm gonna be so-so-so late.
I was really pissed, really felt like ranting.
And I did. I sms-ed 2 people, but received reply from one immediately, the other...well, I should say that I'm expecting her to be still sleeping. Or maybe I'm just too noisy...
But my feelings were about to explode like a volcano. It was pathetic. I had not only wasted time, I had wasted sleep and money. Things which are irreplaceable. Not to mention, a slight quarrel with my mum before I left the house. So all in all, the bus break-down just added fuel to the burgeoning fire.
Called the other friend when she replied, but realised that why should I rant to her? She's just a friend, and she's busy, and she's having fun now. Why should I dump my unhappiness on someone else?
I've never really told people how I usually feel about things. Yet I wished I had. When I do tell others how I feel, I felt worse after that instead. I wished I had not placed my worries and feelings to others, 'cos they would probably be unable to help much.
And the conversation was rather ____. Nothing much to say. After ranting it out with her, I felt better, yet I felt that I might have talked to a slightly unresponsive her. Or maybe, it's just the dual personality she has. Nothing much to be concerned about? But I was, at that moment in time.
So I just thought about it after I put down the phone.
I was basically sms-ing too much, expecting replies, but I knew I didn't deserve them. Not yet, maybe. Or just a taste of my own medicine? Maybe. Too much time on my hands now.
Back to the day...I managed to get on another 31, and reached the place (late), but the programme went on without a hitch. Was doing with this group of Innova JC ODAC people.
And the day ended with me meeting up with parents for dinner. So hungry. No delivery of food by someone. Haha. (just a joke)

Morning run. Realised my running just went downhill. Track training to be effected tomorrow. Pronto. I've not even booked my IPPT date, so die le.
Anyway, went back school after lunch at home, to pass the Berkelah trip stores to one of the group participants 'cos the WHOLE group did not even go down (okay, so outta 13, 3 turned up, the other half said they did not receive the mail. WOW. What an excuse)
So I was quite pissed. But I went back anyway. Just pissed 'cos I gotta lose a friggin 3 bucks for going down.
Well, settled down (somewhat) at the Rovers table and packed the stuff which I had not brought home the previous day - 1 flysheet, 1x set of poles. And I forgot to bring home my pegs! ARGH. (Now I need to fly to school next day to get? OMG.)
Met Tze after that, though briefly, as she was on her way home after a 'happening' morning. Walked her to the bus stop, saw her board 151 for KR Terminal, then received an SMS from Yings.
Spent some time with Yings at 6th Ave, and the Venezia ice-cream was (as usual) fantastic! So was the BTM carrotcake. Well, it's been some time since I've been to either of these places, and spending a little now and then is still alright, though I wished I had been working now so that I can spend without a thought over my head...
At BTM, I dropped my phone, and it died on me! Refused to switch on. Yings tried to help, but to no avail. Then I gave a weird suggestion - drop it on the floor again.
It worked O_o"
How stunned we were. And she dismissed it as me playing a trick on her. Geez!
Hope u're reading this, Yings, and hope u're feeling better. Ur friends are around you, to lend a listening ear, irregardless whether they know the situation or not. Nonetheless, all of us care for u, that's why we are concerned ;)
So take care...and there's no need to say "Thanks", 'cos that's what friends are for!
Had dinner at home, and now I'm back home, relaxed...waiting...thoughts just flow...am I ready?

Looking back at yesterday's events, HELL YEA.
I now proclaim that I'm not arty-farty enough, nor am I an art'n'craft person. Wait a min, I never WAS in the first place...
I dun even know how to use glitter glue! OMG.
And I got criticised (in a laughing manner?) over my piece of work.
Sigh. Maybe I just dun have enough ideas for making such stuff.
Maybe I should just do what they said - Get them to do the gift, and I just write my name...
And I realise, I'm just not a romantic. A plodding person who just studies, a person who just goes out. But never a romantic. Not one to think on his feet. And as such, that's my weakness.

Man, I've not regretted watching Over the Hedge. Simply fantastic. Work of art. I just love animated cartoon characters spewing jokes all around the movie. And the cinema rocked in laughter, in unison.
A little rush I must say, but still we managed to get into the cinema on time. Was having dinner over at MOS near Specialists' Shopping Centre, and then while I was admiring YS' watch, I realised that it was 7:44.
I quickly stopped the conversation and checked the timing for our movie.
The dreaded numbers came up. 7:50pm.
We immediately got up and walked towards The Cathay, hoping that the seats are still reserved. And on the way, I met *ahem* and her friend (who asked if I was still in the army - Stunner!)
The queue to grab the tickets for online booking was super long. It was long for the fact that the designated queue for online ticket collection has been closed and moved over to The Picturehouse queue, thus the long wait.
Once we got the tickets, we bade goodbye to *ahem* and her friend, and proceeded into the cinema.
The show had started.
And I laughed, even before settling down. 'Cos the show was filled with laughable stuff here and there, it just amazes me at the sheer intelligence of the people who came up with the script. Amazing!
After the movie, it was a ride back, and I enjoyed the time. Thanks!
Now, how am I gonna while my time at 4pm in school, waiting for people to collect the stores from me when the WHOLE group just decided not to even attend the briefing. Best. Sick and tired of people who said they did not receive the mail, when 6 others did.

Code Breaking. Pagan. Christianity. Myths. Legends. Christ. Priory of Sion.
The list just goes on.
To admit blatantly, the movie aint that great as the book, but coming from the movie's perspective (to deny that the book ever existed) it was pretty much a good movie.
Well, save for the fact that our dear Robert Langdon solves mysteries and riddles as fast as the riddle is given to us, which really cuts down a lot of the thought processes he had undertaken as described in the book.
Was supposed to try out the 1900 and 1925 show at GV PS, but failed to get any seats. In the end, Yings and I went over to The Cathay to get the 2000 show, and proceeded to meet up with Tze for shopping.
And the seats we got? 2x couple seats on either side of the cinema, at the edges. Haha. We were undecided on how to place ourselves, cos...3 of them together and me alone? Haha.
While waiting for Geok, we just happily shopped, and well, I had my 'fun' teasing Yings and Yings had the liberity of snapping back, and Tze was just caught in the middle of the cross-fire...mans, it's great being in SG with frens, but then again, it's great having them around on treks too! Haha!
Just always need a group of friends around u :)
Realised what Tze said was true, during dinner. It's about listening to friends complain about things which you know you cannot soothe them...for example, girls saying themselves are fat. I'll just push the topic off the cliff as soon as it appears, as I know that there ain't any way I can console the girl. Just complain to me, but please, I know I cant do much to soothe u! (I dun mind lending the listening ear la!)
Movie was nice, food was nice, friends were nice...dang. Life just gotta get better!
Now, just gotta sit down, do my briefing stuff, as well as my proposals. Time's running short, my brain cells are pretty much dead (yet to replenish), and I've just gotta live life as it is...It's too nice to take it seriously? Maybe.

Yup! Berkelah recce was great. Fabulous in fact.
Returned today morning, but reckoned I should have a rest. Had little sleep over the past 2 nights. First night I could not sleep because some peeps on the NTU ODAC trip to Jerangkang Waterfalls in Kuantan just talked and laughed all the way that I believe I've just about heard almost every issue they have raised during the 4 hour long trip. Their group was surprisingly full of female trekkers, with only 5 male trekkers. Interesting...
Anyway, the trip was otherwise smooth. As usual, the TransNasional bus sped like a speeding bullet to the checkpoint, then to Kuantan, where we landed a tad late at 0450hrs.
Still, it was pretty early and the terminal was empty. Way empty...till the NTU group alighted and placed their bags next to our group. We then decided to take out our cards and do what we do best - Bridge (or card-playing, in general)
Soon we Raja came over, and we discussed with him regarding the cab timings and the price, and we set off from the carpark at 0600hrs to the Prata store en route to Berkelah waterfalls...the NTU group basically stayed there with mainly participants, no sight of the committee members. Weird.
On our way (in the taxi) into Berkelah, we met up with Huiqin's brother who's leading a SP group in. Apparently they have about 25+ trekkers and took a bus in, so they had stopped at the main road and walked all the way in! Wow!
We started our climb at about 0730hrs, and chiong-ed up till the 3rd waterfall, and rested. As the time was still early, needing to only meet the cab at 1700hrs, we pushed forth above the 3rd waterfall, hoping to see the 4th waterfall of Berkelah (Side-note: It was said that Berke has 7 waterfalls...?)
Up down Berkelah was fun...jetty jump at 2nd Waterfall was equally great. Seemed roughly like what we did for OCS confidence jump. :)
In the end, we sun-tanned, swam, dived and jumped around. I accidentally slipped into the water and the bottom half of my bag (with clothes!) literally drowned. Luckily I had ziplocked my stuff, so this goes to show the importance of ziplocking your stuff on treks dudes ;)
And after getting out of Berkelah, we reached Kuantan's A&W (only in M'sia!) and tuang-ed (+play cards) there till around 2000, and the staff told us they had to close shop. We were quite stunned cos the closing time stated 2300hrs, so in the end we had to go over to the bus terminal, where we sat down and played cards (again) and had Malaysian soccer (Pahang vs Perlis) on TV.
So many people watching TV. Even the coach driver was transfixed on the screen. Haha.
Ride back was not back, but bumpy. More bumpy then the way to Kuantan. Plus, we waited for 45 mins for Macs to open at Larkin. Haha.
While JJ went off to Kranji MRT directly, LY, TQ and I took the bus towards Queen's Street. And LY & TQ were so fast asleep, I din bother to bade goodbye to them when I got off...and I reached home at ard 8am to finally meet my bed...finally...

I missed out on the tag by Tze, so now I'm here to fulfill it...Sorry for the delay Tze! (Trekking kills brain cells? But it sure fills one with satisfaction, emotions and self-gratification ^_^)
Anyway, there's nothing really perfect in the world. The world is just imperfect, but to see through the imperfections and look at the perfections shows the openness of one to accept each other's strengths and understand the weaknesses. But sometimes, weaknesses are just deep fault lines which will just lie in conflict with one's beliefs and values ;)
1. The tagged victim has to come up with 8 points about his/her perfect lover.
2. Mention the gender of his/her gender.
3. Tag 8 victims to this and leave a comment on their blog.
4. If you are tagged a second time, there is no need to do it a second time.
5. The most impt part is having fun doing it!
1. Lover? Definitely a GIRL la (Must state, later got people say I do a brokeback...Haha) Well someone who is easy-going would be good for me, 'cos I guess my personality is like that, easy-going and able to mix around well. Able to mix with my friends, and me with her friends, that would be a plus too! Shy-ness can be overcome ;) Talkative! Talkative! I wanna hear interesting stories! (Though I've little to offer myself -_-)
2. Hope she likes the outdoorsm and doesn't mind me going on trips, doesn't mind trekking with me(best to love trekking also!) Craziness is good, haha! Scuba-diving (if we got money), holidaying overseas, trekking, etc etc...I really wish so too!
3. Since Tze and Yings both had height requirements, maybe I should put? Haha. Nah...hopefully my gf is not taller than me la, haha. Same height can, shorter also can. I not too picky, but as long as the girl doesn't mind ;)
4. Energetic and full of fun! Need to pei he me...and I need to pei he her. Someone who can tahan some of my lame-ness.
5. Understanding at the same time. Someone who is able to understand that certain things DO come first for reasons. Look above the clouds, dear girl (whoever u are).
6. Big round brown eyes! *ahem* Haha. Not big as in REALLY BIG, but modest size can le la. Haha. Nice looking face, on top of that, is good! (I not so picky la. Haha. Must go past my mum's stage first! o.O" J/King)
7. Someone to do things with me (sounds same as pt 2?), someone who realises that our uni life is just a cycle, a vicious cycle in fact, but to be able to be faithful and understanding of this stupid cycle I'm in. (ya...wrong course? I dunno. Understanding? Hopefully) Likes kids! Like cute stuff! Haha. Dunno why also, I just like kids la. So cute and adorable. Then again, I guess most ppl DO LIKE KIDS! :D
8. Personal values, personality...traits which are impt in determining whether a couple will be together or not...Something I'm looking for, but I guess some traits are more easily forgiveable than others...
9(Extra). Now this is not so much of my other half, but more of myself. Hope to make her happy, after what I've been through. Although I'm boring and just a small dot in this big red dot of an island, I just wish that I've had more than just 24hrs in a day. 48 hrs would do for me. I lack time to do a lotta things, and this is aptly summed up by my May-Jul hols, where I cannot go for other camps! OMG. I never signed up for any, but really wished to have signed up, without hesitation, in Union and Engine camps. Guess not? I dunno...my life's in a mess now...
Not in the mood to tag anyone...haha. So whoever wants to do, msg me? Hehe.

Enjoy~!
Chapter One
One day, noodle quarrel with meat bao(bun). They had a fight but bao was too clumsy and lost badly. He was
very angry and he told noodle to stay behind if he has the guts and he'll get his pals to assist him.
Meat bao went to find bread, man tou, jian bao etc to get them to reinforce him. Along the way, they saw
maggi mee. They ah bish ah bish ah bish and beat maggi mee up and maggi mee beri puzzled why he kena beaten
up.
He said, "Why u all beat me? What have I done to deserve this?"
The meat bao said, "Noodle! Dun think u perm your hair then cannot recognise u!"
Chapter Two
Maggi mee, who was beaten up for no reason, was very angry. So he went to find bee hoon, udon, fried
noodles etc to seek revenge.
But on the way, they met small bao. Maggi mee looked at small bao for a while then told his brothers,
“Bra-der! Whack him!" Maggi mee whack small bao harder & harder.
After the noodles family has left, they asked Maggi Mee why he hated small bao so much and beat him up so
badly.
Maggi mee said. "At first wanna teach him a small lesson only, but then see him act cute, made me so
angry."
Chapter Three
The more small bao thought of it, the more buay song he was. So, he found the bao family to whack Maggi
mee.
Then they found ying shi juan (noodles covered with bun). They brought him back as hostage and were about
to put him on the stove to force him to talk when the bao head said, "That's not noodles! That's our undercover!"
Chapter Four
The family of bao and noodles are now enemies and they have gang fights whenever they see each other. One
day, the noodles family was having a walk when they saw char siew bao alone.
Seeing the good chance, all of them attacked him. The noodles family shouted, "Beat him hard hard! Don't
give chance just because he's vomiting blood!"
Chapter Five
Poor char siew bao, with his injuries, went to the bao headquarters to look for help. All the bao family was
activated and together with red bean bao, green bean bun etc. they went to seek revenge. All the passerbys
siam them as they look like they will kill.
They saw french fries jalan jalan along, shopping. The bao family attacked him. The bao head shouted, "Noodle
people still wear gold go shopping! Whack him!!!"
Chapter Six
Finally, the bao family manage to kidnap noodle, the one who started up the whole show, and brought him
back to the bao headquarter.
All the baos took turns to whack him. At the end, the chief of baos - dua bah bao took a final roll over
noodle before they dump him.
When the poor noodle finally went home, none of the family member could recognise him bcoz he is totally
disfigured - flatten. In order not to let the family bear the bad name, he appears as a new member named
Mee pok.
Such a ritual, especially after a trip. Back to school on the next day to settle stores, wash tents, and get oneself dirty. Haha.
But it was fun, though not many turned up. Committments elsewhere. I wished I had the time to join other camps. Sigh. But the washing of tents was fast, coupled with good sunny weather, allowed us to keep the tents by 1pm, despite starting late.
After that, had lunch @ Holland Drive Market, and then went home to rest, shower up and meet YS for movie.
Sigh. I should have bought the tickets for the night. But stupid me just thought that because it was a weekday, chances of us having seats would be higher. I was seriously mistakened. Cineleisure was full and Da Vinci Code was sold out. MI:3 had no seats till 11pm.
Circumstances forced us to look for alternatives, and we landed up at Sakae Sushi, having fun talking and eating. Small capacity she has...or is she controlling? Haha.
Realised my 'black hole' stomach cannot be activated in SG. Is that a side-effect of Malaysia Withdrawal Syndrome (MWS)? YH complained she had...Yings too. Wondering whether any more people have that.
Anyway, moving on, we walked along Orchard, then went to Wisma to sit down and talk. Being a boring guy, I found it hard for myself to start a conversation. Or shy? Not too sure. Maybe just a blank mind after 2 trips. But still, I enjoyed the time we had.
After that, met up with her frens at Cineleisure, and took the train home. Well, almost the first time I've taken the train home from Orchard ever since I got my concession pass in Army. Never did take the train unless (1) No bus concession (2) Need to get home fast (3) No other reason warranted it.
Haha.
Nice night mans. Really enjoyed the company.
Time to look forth to the Berke recce later tonight...

Now for the second part of this photo-blogging session...Day 2 of Ophir! It was a super shag activity filled with fun, laughter and enjoyment! Not to mention that both the ICs got stung by some yellow-and-black bees (or were they bees even?)
Breakfast was made of simple Milo, cereal with milk, as well as ham sandwiches (yes I brought up chicken ham!) Tze was busy packing their own lunch by whipping up eggs to create omelette sandwiches.
What a day. Weather was fantasic!
Yings was hyper, Tze was in the midst of multiple scandals, 'Stong Papa' Tze Han becoming 'Ophir Papa', Kelvin shows his 3 cameras, I got a Jie Jie, and ODAC arrived at the campsite to round off the day.
Day 3 is characterised by waterfall playing (yes!!!), haggling over prices for our tee-shirts (RM17.50 tees anyone? Haha!) and our photo frenziness @ the bus interchange! Simply hyper people. Must be the going-home-syndrome.
