Fate/Stay Night

Latest Anime which I'm catching (albeit on YouTube), on top of Naruto and Deathnote. Well, it's a pity that you dun get much seeds for this anime, and it was released quite some time back.

Fate/Stay Night is an anime television series which follows (very closely) to the TYPE-MOON visual novel Fate/Stay Night. There are three branching storylines: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel. It's also made into a PC game, and I've heard (and read) that it has explicit hentai scenes (gosh!). But anyway, this anime is just purely suggestive, so it's similar to those of Evangelion and the-what-nots.

The story revolves around the main character, Shirou, and his servant Saber, who are participating in the 5th Holy Grail War. Well, all of us should have heard some stuff about the Holy Grail, and this anime series does draw some mythological and legendary figures into the picture. To materialise the Holy Grail, a ritual is held, with the Holy Grail selecting 7 wizards (masters) and 7 familiar spirits (servants). The Servants are: Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker.

Why should you catch this? Well, in my opinion this is quite an interesting (though short) series if you are interested in legends and mythical beings. Of course, being a combat-type anime, it's better if you like fighting and magic, rather than comedic or thought-provoking type of anime (because there are few funny scenes).

Try to catch it on YouTube. It's all uploaded there! ;)
