Some Reflections...

Ah...seems like MRT staff are not bad :) At least they help out during peak hours, ensuring that all passengers go in the train before the doors closes on them.

Hmmm....another note to ponder for a min or so:

Do you know everybody in your block? Much less your neighbourhood...('cept for those in hostels :p)

Dun you feel that with the progression in technology, and esp. the advancement in technology, the chances of knowing each and everyone of the people living in ur HDB block or your private estate aint that high? Look, each HDB block now comes with at least 2 lifts, if not more. These conveniences us, but sadly restricts us to the chances of meeting others in the same block.

I've lived in this home of mine for 7+ years, yet I confess that I dont know each and everyone of the people staying in my block...Talk about the loss in the 'kampung spirit'...

Talk about being philosophical......hahaz......

Reflections...

Sometimes I dunno why my brother bathe so slow, spending so much time in the bathroom...How is he gonna make it in Army? I wonder why all the time...

As the saying goes, "Time waits for no man". His attitude and speed has to change...ultimately. Dad cant speed everyday to send me (to OETI) and him (to sch), cos it's dangerous for him as a driver...oh well...

Goodbye...*waves*

Ahhz....wad a day..lalala.....lol ::Goes Hyper:: (Been some time since i last did tt even b4 Army o.0') -BEAM CANNON!-

Last day of BLOC! Oh well, time to keep the fond memories, and to say goodbye to the friends which I've made over the last 7 weeks there, sometimes working till 3am on a project (read: PBL), and struggling to study for tests with a lotta stuff to distract us (like soccer and tv.....Qian Nv You Hun!!!!!!)

Hmm will always remember the PBL, where I've worked with my pals till 3am (guess Eups shld remember abt tt...told ya abt it) and getting less than the 'recommended' 7 hrs of mandatory sleep...HaZ! Also the rushing of the reports, the endless reportings to be done, the numerous hw to be handed up, the deadlines......geez...

Ahh...The BLOC phase, was a time where friends are met, made and fortified. So, hopefully our paths cross not only this once, but a lot more times in the future!

MAJ Chan looked me and 7 others up...'cos of our results and to tell us how we were doing...(Thought we did smth wrong lol) Also, had this end-of-course buffet + happy hour...not bad ah...the food lol.

Presentation of the awards and certs commenced, and the photos for the group wasnt the most satisfactory -.- I was REALLY surprised to get the Best ATO/MEO Award --- a $50 book voucher...and of course, CPT Jason Chia got the overall Best Student for BLOC (as predicted)...ah....to spend it well liaoz... -happie-

Ahhz....to do some update for my journal b4 sleeping...tomolo gotta go to my new camp @ Ayer Rajah --- OETI

Ahh...

Wad a great day! Ha! Played badminton today, which was really great, as though I've not exercised much over the week (which was very true ^_^') Also got to play against some pro called Michael...hmmm good player, darn I never practice much also wad...so -shrug- hopefully get more time to train up in e future!

After that and a shower, it's off to town to catch a movie with Aloysius, whom I've not met for quite some time...Caught the movie 28 Days Later...Dang, seems like it aint as great as it was touted to be (Reminds me of Resident Evil's storyline...lol). Will write more abt tt somewhere below....

After that, went around PS to shop and look-see...seems like got some big changes and obviously i aint aware -sigh- but gotta use up my $20 voucher from RSH, went to World Of Sports, found this Climalite T-Shirt which was damn nice, but darn, the voucher couldnt be used -sad-

So after bidding goodbye to Aloysius, who had to go home to prep for booking in (evil grin), I went down to Suntec, jkoined up with family and went to the RSH over there...finally bought the red UMBRO t-shirt/reversible jersey which looked quite like the S3 for the Adidas one which i juz saw an hour ago...so got it with the voucher, plus some more payment lorz...

After which was dinner :) and home sweet home, getting songs from my cd that is ^_^

About 28 Days Later
Shucks...wasted a good $8.50...shld've watched The Italian Job instead, such a waste of money, with little gore, lotsa violence, no plot line, a loser main character.....wad do u expect?! (Even Turn Left Turn Right was better, but, I can compare both 'cos TLTR was WAY nicer haha!)

Anyway, it'z about this virus which is in the blood that is filled with rage, and the starting shows 3 ppl (animal activists i think) tryin to let these infected monkeys outta the cage, with no idea wad was to come...

Of cos, the virus spreads via contact with tainted blood, and within 10-20 seconds of contacting it (via any cuts, wounds, dropped into mouth or even eyes), the person will become one of the 'Infected' - ppl who are filled with rage and who feed on other humans to 'survive'.

The central charc Jim wakes up 28 days later after the event has happened, and finds the entire city barren, with no ppl, electricity, water or any other form of life - virtually. Until he stumbles upon the church where he says 'Hello', and gets chased by the 'Infected' ppl...craving for him. Luckily for him, he's saved by 2 other humans, not before using a petrol station in a huge inferno blast o.0'

Jim is told of the entire story of wat had happened during the 28 days he has been conked out...and he wants to get home to check out how everything is, but realises his family are dead (not as 'Infected'). Too bad, this stupid dude decides to light a candle @ nite (how stupid can he get?!) and it results in luring 2 'Infected' to him, and he requires the help of the 2 humans to get rid of them, but not before one of them is stained by their blood due to the cut he received...Selene kills him instantly. They move on, and finally find a father and child holding out at this building in the middle of the city. Of course, we get to see the motto 'Only the strongest will survive' being said here...Selene literally leaves Jim for the dead till they are helped by this gigantic dude in 'armour' and a shield, getting rid of the 'Infected' with relative ease.

Also, they start to get a signal from an army station in Manchaster claiming to be the sanctuary of peace and finding the cure for the virus, and all of them decide to have a go at it, but not before realising the entire city was in chaos, and that the base(blockade) was deserted. Desperate, Hannah's father kicks a door on which a crow was perched on and crowing loudly, and a drop of blood from an infected dead dude lands in his eyes...in matter of seconds he is filled with rage and almost kills Hannah, till the army arrives in time to pump some bullets into him.

The 'army' was actually a little more like a ragtag bunch of ppl toting machine guns and getting a little strange, prob due to the chaos, the confusion and of course, the lack of women. Which was the case for the setting up of the telecast - to draw survivors, esp. women to the area to satisfy these lust-loving soldiers. Jim, on finding out the plan, is left for the dead, but not before he turns against them and sets the 'Infected' on the entire stronghold, by letting the soldiers become the 'Infected' slowly one by one...and saving the gals in the process. Too bad, he was shot in the stomach while he does so...

There were 2 endings, one being the movie ending and the other the alternative ending, just after the credits had rolled. The movie ending showed them housed in a relatively safe location in the country side with them setting up some large sheets for the airforce to detect them, and they do, when an aircraft notices their signal.

The alternative, shows of a dying Jim, who is rushed to hospital (same) but dies in the end, and Selene bringing Hannah away from the scene...Of which, i dun understand wad's so different between the first and the second 'cept one is where he dies and the other, he doesnt o.0' Oh well, it wasnt a great movie...I think, and I shld've spent it on American Pie 3 instead...haha...but too bad R(A) rated -.-'

Ahh....time to rest....wad a long blog for today... My arm aches -.-

Shackness...

Juz returned from camp...Shack eh, but i guess not as much as those who stayed outfield...

Ex Scimitar was the main event this week, and I was assigned as one of the 'OCs' in the 'Bn', my 'Bn' being that of 80 BAR, a ficitionous armour unit...So my job was actually quite simple: To give injects to my fellow mates who are acting as the ppl in the HQ...

However, during the pre-ops phase, I still helped out with the planning and the various charts, doing till past 2am...Argh, and that's the pre-ops only....(3d,2n eh...!)

On Wednesday, the planning carried on and subsequently those going outfield left, and we were left with the 'Rock Drill' to be done...did from 6pm to 1am, plus the numerous changes to be done after that...

Tactical halt of the exercise was carried out and it was supposedly to be from midnight to 5am, but for us it was from 2am to 6.30am...Thurs was the day when the ops started, injects coming in and wargaming started...

Fri? Well, the wargaming still carried on with more 'cheem' injects coming in, and subsequently the ex stopped after 2pm...with the finale done...

Post-ex admin was done, inclu. the arrival of those outfield, unloading of stores, doing of AAR for the ex etc...It was quite a good ex, though we were constantly trying to come out with the plan which was what was on the mind of the DS, but that was never the case, therefore the need for major changes everytime we did a plan -.-'

Shackness now....jus ate dinner....gonna settle down since I jus brought back all my stuff, and going to a new place called OETI....Geez....
