Brr....cold... Watched Underworld @ GV Bishan today @ 7.20pm after returning home and rushing there, with my dad sending me also.....nice movie! Time for a blogger-style movie review! ^_^
Underworld is a gothic-movie depicting the centuries-long war between the 2 clans --- the aristocratic, immortal vampires and the fearsome, powerful Lycans (otherwise known as werewolves) driven underground by the vampires. The vampires seem to have won the war, and are enjoying the peace as they know of it...for now.
Seline (Kate Beckinsale) is a beautiful mortal turned vampire by the vampire Elder Viktor, who had hidden the truth of the death of her family from her, giving her a false picture who had killed her family, when it was actually him instead of the Lycans as he had said. He didnt kill her 'cos she reminded him of his daughter Sonia who was killed by sunlight due to him forbidding the marriage of her with the Lycan Lucian.
Michael is the descendent of the 'Corvinus' (sp?) clan, which was actually the ascendent of the vampires and the Lycans. The Lycans were actively sourcing for new ways to deal with the vampires, and stumbled on the idea of using the pure untainted blood of tt descent to create a new species - half vampire, half Lycan - which would be far stronger than either Lycan or vampire. The vampire Elder Marcus is also another descendent, but he's a vampire, therefore his blood is tainted and cannot be used. The Lycans, led by Lucain, attempt to create this new species by using Michael's blood as a bridge to merge the bloog of Lucian's and the 3rd vampire Elder Amelia's blood to create this new breed stronger than Viktor.
Seline was initially on the trail of 2 Lycans who were seemingly not doing anything, till she stumbles on the fact that they were stalking the human Michael. For what, she has no answer, and she senses something amiss...Her attempts to uncover the Lycans' plot results in the revelation of many answers, including Kraven's betrayal. Seline looks up Michael @ his home intending to find out more answers, but is ambushed by 8 Lycans including Lucian, who managed to bite Michael and have a sample of his blood to ensure he's the one they are looking for...
She attempts to save Michael from the Lycans by keeping him chained in one of the vampires' interrogation rooms, leaving him Lycan bullets to delay his transformation into a full-bodied Lycan.
The final battle ensues, with the awakening of Viktor by Seline, the death of the Elder Amelia (ambushed by the Lycans as part of the agreement bet. Kraven and Lucian) and Viktor assumes control, sending the elite Death Dealers to raid the Lycans' underground base. This was to prevent the Lycans from using Amelia's blood and merging it with Lucian's to create the new species which Viktor so feared. Kraven doublecrosses Lucian by shooting a single silver nitrate (AgNO3) round into him, which 'kills' him as the silver nitrate runs in his veins.
Seline finds the gagged and bounded Michael, and sets him free, intending to bring him away from all the fighting, till they meet Kraven, who shoots him w/o question (3 bullets). He also tells Seline Viktor's secret, and is about to kill her when Lucian (still aint dead yet) plunges a wicked blade into Kraven's left leg, injuring him badly. Lucian urges Seline to suck Michael to save him, as it was the only way to do so, following which he dies. Seline decides to suck Michael's blood to save the one she loves, and saves him, but transforms him into the new breed of half Lycan half vampire. Viktor attempts to kill this new abdomination, but realises he sure packs a punch!
When Viktor's 3 bodyguards arrived and 'helped' out by pumping loads of rounds into Michael, Seline can no longer sit aside and watch it happen. She attacks the bodyguards, and helps Michael to deal with Viktor. She then uses Viktor's sword to cut his face into half (ooh....argh...grey 'core' inside...gooey....yucky)... The 'new' Michael was one huge grey coloured dude (like in some suit also) and had sharp nails, but looked relatively human to me.
Before the credits roll, we are brought to the scene where the Lycan (killed by Viktor) in the hall of the vampire Elders had its blood flowing into the tomb of the unawakened Marcus, following which we see his eyes transforming into that of the new species (from the blue eyes to the black, almost hollow-like eyes)
The movie sure has a lotta gadgetry, with the vampires using handphones (wow!), wielding whips 2m long, bullets laced with liquid silver nitrate as projectiles (so that the liquid flows into the bloodstream of the Lycans) and flying silver darts. Seline also drives a hell of a cool Silver Astin Martin..WOW! The Lycans have bullets with UV radiation as projectiles and powerful alternate forms. When in werewolf mode, their agility and strength increase greatly, which can be seen by the fact that Lycans 2, Vampires 0 in the 1 on 1 fight between Lycan and Vampire.
Seline is damn cool in her black latex full suit! Cool! w00t! Ahz...too bad no one wears that....damn cool! ::Goes gaga::

Talk abt it being the last episode shown today......din even watch a single of the entire series o.0' onli bits and pieces -sigh- Such a nice series, ending so quickly....
What a weird dream...and a vivid one still, esp since i juz woke up, writing it in my journal ASAP...
Dream started with me @ this shopping mall @ 7:00am, buying gifts for Teacher's Day (o.0') and met some of my friends, includ...(shld i say?!?). I remembered that I bought wind chimes (the stick ones) and some round cylindrical boxes. I was approaching the counter to buy, then realised it was 7:28am and quickly gave some $$ to one of my frens and ran to the top floor (4th level) for breakfast at this place which serves roast meat and bread for breakfast (macham like Country Manna or smth)
Then left the place, and met up with my friend who had held my stuff and paid for me whilst i ate. But I realised that my bag aint around when I reached lvl 1, and went back to lvl 4, seached frantically, but no results. My fren also followed up and told the security guard about the loss, and he helped looking for it when he got reports of a green thing found @ the roof (My REAL bag is a green Deuter Navajo 2000 anyway...) When he returned, I realised that it was a green Watson's plastic bag...soon after I had found my bag, and the time was 7:50am, so quickly called my father telling him I would be late for work/school and told him to help me out...
My family (weird!) arrived, and Dad tried to take the fastest route to my workplace, taking this expressway caleld JRE and then detouring via this dark and misty place, which had many hills and mountains. There was a car in front of us, and I could see its red rear lights. We didnt switch on our front lamps (tactical or spolit?!) and I saw road signs @ the right side of the road looking like traffic lights, and there were no street lamps.
'Cos we din switch on the front lights, we went up and down, till suddenly we heard someone shouting "Where are you going?" We switched on the front lights and realised to our horror that we had derailed off road and flying (??!?) in mid-air towards these huge structures (like Twin Towers of USA). The car crashed, and when I woke up (in e dream), I found myself staring at this structure with my car in robot form, being charged up by this charger-like structure. My bro said the car would be alright, and there was a charging up of power and a beam was sent to the sky via a huge tall structure which I just saw. The robot came out, changed to a car (like Transformers) and this time the 'car' as the width of the road, and we pressed on...
We then hit the route and finally into daylight, stopping @ this place with heavily armed guards, and tall fences. I read this sign saying that "Bacterial are harmful and the reservoirs & rivers are harmful" (-.-') I realised that we were quite near death just now when flying into the air 'cos we nearly hit the sea...
My dad then drove me to the camp/workplace and I reached @ 8:15am...Was late but nothing happened.
After that I awoke (real liaoz) and...I remembered it! Not many times I could remember it, so decided to write it down....anyone care to tell me what it means? 'Cos all dreams do have meanings......

Should I go overseas to study? Thinking of going to UNSW, 'cos heard the university not bad, plus the chem. engine programme there also good.....but dunno whether chem engine is my cup of tea -.- So still thinking...IF i wanna go overseas, needa take scholarship, 'cos no $$$ to go thru 4 years larz...
Any ideas/comments/suggestions?

Went out in the morning to have breakfast @ Kiliney Kopitiam, 'cos my mom and bro wants :) Not bad, ahh...been some time since i went there liaoz. Went to the outlet downtown, hmm the entire city area so quiet...unlike working days or sat nites...

First, it rained heavily in the morning. What a GREAT way to cheer u up, esp on a sat morning...hrhr
Hitched a ride on my Captain's car from the camp complex to the Buona Vista MRT, and realised soon after the car had vrooom-ed off that my handphone had dropped outta my pants pocket and was most probably left on the backseat of the car...Jason helped by calling him, but no answer 'cos he din have hands-free set and therefore...dun dun dun dunnnn -.-
So rushed back home, called my Captain, and phew! It was really there...though he lived @ Jurong East and I'm goin there later, he was gonna go downtown. Basically he would be quite busy this weekend, so I'm onli gonna have my hp back on Monday >.<
Ahh...when I left home to go to Jurong East, saw policemen at the void deck of my block. o.0' Not quite sure what had exactly happened, but from what I saw, a female had her eyes wide open and juz sat there...still...(talk about eerie...it was 1.45pm then o.0') From the look of things, it seems like she could be in shock, or juz died...? I'm not sure, hope that something comes up in the papers tomolo...
Hmm today watched the movie "A Time For Dancing" @ Jurong Cinema, 'cos only Shaw Brothers have this show running in their cinemas, and only 3 --- Lido, Jurong and Balestier. Since my friend, Grace was @ NUS, so we decided to meet there 'cos she had to go home (Malaysia).
I had watched the trailer for "A Time For Dancing", and I expected quite a good performance. Indeed I was, and the whole movie, to put in a word, was AWESOME. Talk about artistic dance scenes, a true-life account, and something which touches your heart...This movie has it all. Though it aint publicised widely, I believe this movie sure has potential for more, considering that it was inspired by great movies like 'FlashDance', 'Dirty Dancing' & 'A Walk To Remember'.

...A Short Movie Synopsis...
So what is this movie about? This movie talks about the life of 2 friends, Jules and Sam, who are both dancers. Whereas Jules is an accomplished dancer awaiting entry into the renowed Juilliard University, Sam is her good friend (since 6), who tries so much to be like her.
Alas, Jules' ambition to become a famous dancer is dashed when her hip problem turns out to be a type of cancer, and the doctor tells her that being at Stage IV of growth, there is little chance of recovery. She undergoes chemotherapy, and day by day her health deteoriates.
Meanwhile, Sam finds a new boyfriend, and tries to improve her relationship with her mother. She is the one cheering Jules on, to keep fighting on. Also, she realises her potential to become a great dancer, and dances with passion, finally.
The day comes for Jules to undertake the selection test, and she performs wonderfully, even though she had stopped her chemotheraphy treatment, knowing full well that she won't live long. She also promises Sam that she'll always be with her no matter what.
When the letter from the University comes stating that Jules is accepted as a student, Jules had already passed away (Narrated by Sam). And, Sam finally gets to the selection test of Juilliard University, which I think of it as 'fulfilling' her friend's wish to get in.
