Hmmm...pretty slow week. But I guess the month has passed by me a lot faster than I thought...all of sudden, I'm staring at the end of September, the end of another month, and closer to ORD, oh well.
But I guess work was disrupted here and there. ISO 14000 inspections. Pre-LRI preparations. Range Preparations and TH tests. SCDF talk (today). And lots more, no doubt.
Maybe when you have more time on your hands you tend to walk the ground more and solicit more views, listen to them, see what they do and interview those who wish to raise concerns. All these are good, on top of normal workload, and of course the ultra-mentally-taxing work like NDP. But it's a breather in a way, yet I ain't used to it. No problems is the precursor to many problems to come.
And I've a hint here and there.
21km coming up. Oh well. Another hurdle. Too bad, wish for more outfields. Really takes time out of the workshop into a totally different environment, which is all GOOD :P

One moment it is sunny, and another it rains cats and dogs.. -.-' Weather seems so damned bad recently. Rain and shine coming one after another, or worse still, together. Most recently, there is rain in the morning or early afternoon period. Seems like if there is strong sunshine in the morning, it is gonna rain in the afternoon, or vice versa. Regardless to say, weather is damned hot already. Sigh. That's why the air-con is invented for :P
The Terminal.
Great movie, it's witty, funny and full of punch. It has a real feel to it, possible due to the fact that it is a movie based on a true (adapted) story. Morals to be learnt, and one feels for the main character, Viktor Navorski, played by Tom Hanks, who has a promise to fulfill, and the answer lies in the interesting little can of Platters peanut butter which is with him from the start till the end of the show. ^_^ The movie has sentiment, feelings. As the audience, we are kept in suspense as Viktor is forced to stay in the JFK airport due to civil war arising in his home country of Krakozhia. How different personalities revolve and intertwine their fates is interesting, and we are often kept in fascination, like how Viktor manages to stay in the airport through his imaginative and often creative ways. Things he does will make you wow in disbelief, wondering whether he could do that, since he has little food ^^" Moreover, this guy is a quick learner, and adapts to the forced environment quickly. Overall, I would recommend this movie to all you ppl out there..Cheers!
Oh yea, today spent the Kino vouchers which are fast expiring, spending on 2 books and a X-men comic which I've been eyeing for quite some time. And Taka has a big sale for mooncakes, cuz mooncake season is in...Time for the original Lotus Paste mooncakes...haha :P
Evening was spent watching Yi Tian Tu Long Ji, and yea, Zhaomin is the star, haha... Seems like every weekend night cannot miss the episdoes of this Jing Yong classic, as Jia Jing Wen is stunning and *ahem* cute. She gives the cuteness to the role of Zhaomin, who is a Mongolian princess and is smart and crafty. And to end it off, here's a pic of her! ^_^

Oh yea. Damn happening for the 3d 2n outfield over @ Sim Pang & Lam Sam sia...Sheesh, all those events which you recall as memories, vehicles bogged down, rain, shine, tears....lol.
Hmmm, lotsa lessons learnt also.
Interesting stuff to note:
1) Helmet ran over by *ahem* wrecker. Owner of this poor helmet (which looks like a folded piece of metal now...)? The driver of the wrecker -.-'
2) Tire of HMTV blown, yeowch. Talk about burning rubber man. Luckily enough, it was near midnight. Therefore, traffic was relatively easier to control (though vehicles still fail to adhere to safety and try to go so close to our hazard triangles which were placed 30m from the vehicles).
3) Not to be under the spar when unloading...Yeah. Whats a helmet for?!?! -.-'
Oh well...time for a nice rest. 7 hrs over 3d. Lotsa travelling, walking and pictures taken :) But to be combined. Let's see how they want to give these pictures to the ICT fellas.

I hate stay out. I wanna stay in. Why? 'Cos my mum is starting to nag at me to teach my brother maths, and wants me to become a teacher. Not that I'm lazy or selfish, but shouldnt one try to do the sums prior to approaching help? And shouldnt the teacher in jc be more than adequate to help him? (READ: Paying of school fees is so darn high....-.-')
I hate this life. I'd rather stay in, just like last year. Never mind the nights without tv, without computers, without girls, without the many pleasures and nice amenities outside. I'd rather a life in OCS. Training, working hard, and not bothering what happens outside. Even if a bomb explodes outside, I doubt we are hardly affected... (j/k)
Sucks. Great, so my brother wants me to help him, my mum expects me to do the maths till late, not play, and just sit at home to solve maths in the hope of "revising my maths". bleah. If this is gonna work, I'd rather be off teaching tuition now. Moreover, I get moolah. Not through this though.
And I'm glad I rejected the teaching scholarship, cos if I meet such people who never try and go for class, I'll most likely die of heart seizure or blood clot. Heh.
Oh and yea. Miss Ng (Mrs Chong), my former teacher, actually told me that jc maths students outta learn maths themselves. Asking ppl to do work for them is tantamount to inviting trouble to themselves. Which I concur.
Teacher's Day tml....yesterday went to my Sec Sch and JC to meet up with the teachers, talked to quite a no. of them in fact! Too bad, mostly as busy as ever, haha...

First by our 3rd Prime Minister, LHL, and a dang long one at that....I was impressed how he managed to get the audience awake for a lengthy 3 hours plus. And yea, my mom slept through it, my dad and brother got turned off and switched off the tv barely 15 mins into the speech...
AND THIS HAS TO BE THE LONGEST NATIONAL DAY RALLY TO DATE! -.-'
Time to see what are the initiatives he has put into the speech...
First is the interesting 5d workweek...where people get the Saturday off and work from Mondays to Fridays for a longer period of time than the current work schedule. Interesting? Radical? Applying across the board for the govt sector at least, I guess this is gonna be some major change, once implemented that is.
Next is the baby bonuses announced. All the initiatives to promote more childs to be born, with longer maternity leave (from 8 to 12 weeks)...and a whole lot to come...
Guess will read the papers tomorrow...the news reporters are gonna curse man :P

Oh yea....as predicted, Jiawei will succumb to Singapore's pressure and lose! It's not that I'm gloating about the loss, everyone will definitely feel her sadness when you see that the 500K is so close yet so far....slipping out of your grasp in the last minute. In this case, she was SO SO SO close to winning....leading 11-8, 6-11, 11-0, 11-8....then she self-destructed, lost control and allowed the North Korean to come back strongly, attacking viciously and found no reply, and in the end succumbed -.-' Gee...

Today was a great day. I think.
Morning was a tough and challenging 14km run. Woke up @ 5.30am for this run @ Pasir Ris Park. Gee. Why tough? Cos I ended the run with a slight butt muscle strain and my left side was basically aching. And challenging cos I was slowing down towards the end due to me being tired (slept late yesterday nite) and I had like 7 ppl in front of me. Not that I wanted to chiong or anything...
Then I took bus 88 home, took a quick shower and changed, went out with Euphie! ^_^ She returned from the chocoland for quite some time le, so was really eager to see her haha! Had lunch over @ Taka's Crystal Jade Kitchen, which was not REALLY crowded, and surprisingly so, cos it is a Saturday and it's lunch period?! Hmmm....maybe due to the table tennis semis in the late afternoon, a probable cause for a decrease in crowd in the city? Probable, but not conclusive.
And I had a GIANT ChupaChup brought back from chocoland! Sorry la, really very excited haha! Cos dunno how to eat such a big one -.-' It's bigger than my mouth, heavy enough to use as a club....lalala....And I gonna announce to the whole world now anyway :P haha... Bringing it home was a difficult task....used a newspaper to cover it...Dun wanna scare other ppl with such a giant chupachup :P Hehe..
Oh yea, with the upcoming Olympics match, we were actually saying that Singaporeans tend not to fare well in major sporting events when the attention is on them...Geez, look at Susilo. You know what I mean? Everyone wrote him off to lose to Lin Dan, and Jiawei to Wang Nan, but both of them still won! And when the media spotlight is on Susilo, he lost terribly without a fight to the Thai dude. Heh. I expect the same fate to occur to Jiawei. Why? 'Cos losing when the media spotlight is on our sportsmen is more and more of a disease. A bug. When you falter with media and country pinning high hopes on you to deliver, it shows you have assimilated into our society :P (This is from the netizens of SGForums wahahaha)
