Man, farnie movie of this year. Then again, I dun watch much movies recently, do I?
Irregardless of that, this is the movie to recommend ;)
Was initially in school today morning for a simple CTW project discussion with Hauwan and Mingyi. But, it RAINED. Luckily though, I was in an air-conditioned bus, so I was spared the torrential rain which suddenly hit Singapore.
So I managed to get off at YIH (luckily AGAIN) and made my way to MacDonald's to meet up with them. Discussion went smoothly, went through my stuff and whatever I had thought of.
Then, went to do some Rovers stuff regarding the application for the Cyclohunt permit. Apparently, the police require more detailed info, so there I was, trying to work out a new route for my side after the recce over the weekend. Managed to finish it off, and Tianqi helped me finish the North route. Sent the email to SGT Lee, to let him process the information. (He sounded like Lian Guo on the phone sia -_-")
After finishing up with some admin for my side, I proceeded to head down to Cathay CineLeisure to meet up with Velda for lunch. Yi Si joined us shortly after, and we went to watch "The Longest Yard".
It was simply a fantastic and hilarious movie. Man, this type of movie, must watch again and again one. Haha. And Velda claimed that she could sleep, couldn't in the end. (Must be me :P)
After the movie, it was walking around with both of them, talking, chatting. Pretty nice day to do some window shopping. Sighz. It has been some time since I spent my time with them. At least, it was a breath of fresh air. Away from university, for now. Not just Skadi people, or Fuego dudes, even my 01S09 peeps...
Sorry guys, unable to spend time with you all. Hopefully, we'll have more time to spend catching up. Miss ya loads...
Now, relegated to packing my stuff, I feel bored and sian. However, looking forward to the trip tomorrow...Hopefully, the scenery would be great ;)
Tomorrow...LUMBONG beckons.
1 month anniversary ;)

中秋节快乐!
Ahhh...Just woke up, groggy and all. Actually, not really. Haa. A lil blur 'cos for ONE, I do not take afternoon naps! (or at least, I force myself not to)
But, no choice, since I had zilch sleep the night before. Oh yea! Night cycling man. It was our bike recce for Cyclohunt, and I was taking on one of the routes to test out the length of it.
And boy, was it nice. Though, tiring.
Met up with Heng Hong and Shuang Hui at Bedok MRT at 6.45pm to take a ride down to ECP for the initial meet up, and I was late. (Now, it makes me wonder...why am I getting so un-punctual. Grr..Just ain't me -_-") Met up with Candice and Lianguo there, and Tianqi arrived shortly after. Noel was also there! At the Macs in ECP actually. Discussion of some details of the event took place, and after that we proceeded to get our bikes from the uncle.
And we set off at 9.50pm! w00t! Cycling under the bright moon, certainly took on a new meaning ;)
Was with Shuang Hui for the recce, and the initial stops were okay. In fact, reached our 4th stop pretty fast (within 3 hours!) and even had time for a quick meal and watching of some EPL (heeheehee....). And I met up with Noel at our pit-stop. Haha. And he managed to travel from Bukit Panjang and back! Sheesh. Cycling makes one feel so slow.
And I was thinking of relativity of the clock I have with me and the one at home. ARGH. Too much Physics!!!
As the night drew longer, it seemed like an endless ride and energy definitely waned (a bit). Haha. Even met up with Yi Si at his chalet to wish him Happy Birthday in advance. Couldn't make it earlier, so therefore, yupz.
Reached back ECP at around 0550hrs, and we were the 2nd team after Candice and Tianqi. Was looking at the constant flashes of lightning throughout the entire journey back, and I was telling Shuang Hui we should step up our speed, so as not to get caught in the rain.
And it rained! Geez. Heng Hong and Lianguo were left high and dry at one of their checkpoints. So we went to Mac (not my laptop o.O") to have some hot drink (Candice was like shivering from the cool/cold wind) and I proceeded to have my makan. Man, need to eat more
Luckily, their friend helped transport them and their bikes to ECP, so they were able to reach back and return the bikes. We proceeded home, and I almost KOed on the feeder bus. Heh.
Time to update also, while I am at it...
Running! Friday was a great day for a run with Huan Liang, Huiqin, Noel and Wanling. It was so cool, and it certainly refreshed me. I think, I'll not give up on running. Gives me hope, makes my personal problems go away (for the time being) and I can focus on being faster and better and conquering more.
In a way, it was a way for me to get over stuff which I have in my mind, think through more thoroughly, and it is a self-renewal process. In a way, actually.
So yup, then met Kossy at canoe polo! Haha. We thought she was at the track doing her 2.4km, but we misjudged. Went for a bath and dinner straight after that, and saw Ivy and Junjie at Clementi. Dinner was definitely great, and filling. Mwah~
Time to refocus my energies.
Time to reconsolidate, and rethink
Time to reconnitor myself
Time to regain energy (I'm talking too much crap -_-")
Just got over my crazy week. Was in hell, never in heaven. But at least, I'm back on Earth now, not flying around in Fantasy-land ;) Though the fall was hard, at least, I've friends to support me.
And, it's not cruelty, it's just that one will suffer for now, for a short period of time, instead of eternity ;) So, I want to have it back to normal, as friends who can talk and discuss and share. Not to be marginalised and feeling out in the cold, or facing a somewhat-cold attitude.
That's for my reflections...
Next, LUMBONG! Whee~~~!

For you honesty in telling me the truth
For letting the pain hurt for now, and not forever
For letting me go, and not make me hold on to that thin line of hope
For keeping me as a friend, still, always
Sometimes, one wonders if honesty is all that good.
Sometimes, one wonders if luck plays a part.
Sometimes, we mistake attraction for chemistry.
Sometimes, we mistake closeness for a chance.
The shock is over
The tears have dried
The wound will remain (still)
But the soul...lives on...till the end of time
I'll still keep you as a close friend, and hopefully, u do too.
Wishing you, all the best. Cheers.
I'm alright ;) After a night of sleep, and lotsa work :)

Oh yea...reached home roughly 1am today morning, was driving my father's car to the various destinations for the questions to set, as well as checking the distance. And no, I'm not going to be mr-nice-guy and reveal the checkpoints and questions to all of you here. Haha. But one thing I can say is:

And I managed to grab roughly 5 hours of sleep, woke up pretty groggy and all. Packed my stuff, chatted to Henry (who thought that I did not sleep at all, which I rougly did so. haha) and left for school. Managed to get on a 151 bus (there were 2 in fact), and I messaged her.
A mistake.
Who messages early in the morning @ 7am?!?! I must be nuts to do that. Darned. That's the problem of technology. Once you send out the email/SMS, you cannot undo and prevent it from reaching the recipient. In fact, it reaches the person in a wink of the eye.
School was okay, and pretty subdued feeling for me. Lack of sleep, feeling stressed, feeling emotionally drained, having a load on my chest...oh well.
Managed to meet up with Grace, Guanyu and Weichuan for lunch today, which was good. A good 'ol S09 meeting :) Been some time since we had lunch together! And Junhong arrived later, from his hall presumably.
Running in school! More runners required! Haha...Time to arrange something, esp. with the mid-sem break coming. A look at my calendar revealed a tight schedule for this week, with CTW Assignment, Marketing Project, Rovers Night Bike Recce and training with Kops for the upcoming SCM.
And I need to get a new shoe. My current one seemed on the verge of dying already.
And, seems like you knew about it. So yup. Time to clear the air. Time to confess. Time to move on. Time to let the weight off my chest.
Is it wrong for me to drop a bombshell? I think so. Perhaps, time is required to ensure we know each other better; perhaps, time is required for us to understand ourselves.
What a day. Time to do my tutorials...sianz! Waiting for briefing of the participants of Lumbong now...so yea...Signing out.

How to describe...a 12 hour non-stop day...
Had dinner with parents after my 1 hour afternooon nap the previous day, in preparation for the non-stop recce to be conducted in the evening. Dinner at Swensen's was nice, 'cuz they had the $26 discount thingy and therefore, I think I had a good and satisfactory meal.
After that, I joined Candice, Tianqi, Jorin and Henghong for the night recce at 9pm (was late -_-), and we targeted to cover the areas affected by the road closures due to AHM the next day - namely, Fort Road, Mountbatten Road, Stadium Blvd and the area around the Padang and Fullerton (Collyer Quay, Cecil St etc). Initially, the process was okay, going at a good speed and we were still high and fresh.
As night drew to a close and 11th Sep beckoned, the tired souls tried to rise up to the challenge of the night and continue with the search for possible clue areas after finishing up the West route. Alas, I failed to find enough decent checkpoints. Damn.
And my mind was wondering, my heart was screaming for some sleep, yet, I doubted I should ever do that. To say "I Quit" is a wrong in itself. Moreover, I think Tianqi had an even harder time as a driver. Try being one throughout the night for 8 hours straight.
And I know I had made a mistake. A mistake to join the AHM on the day after the recce, or rather, minutes after the recce.
A thought flashed through my mind. Which was more important? Running? Or Rovers? Sudden surge of 2 likings contradicting each other made me feel all the more worse.
And I think I felt distant, as AHM drew close. On one hand, I was trying to psyche myself for the daunting (but do-able) 21km, while trying to help out in the naming of the clues for the East route. I admit, I'm not good at such things, and I think I'll be better off playing. Maybe. Or maybe, I got the concept wrong. So someone, please tell me what did I do wrong. Please. It's my fault, I can feel it.
And Tianqi was very nice to drop me at the AHM starting point at 5.20am. Thanks dude. I really appreciate it, but I felt bad for not finishing the recce. Henghong and Jorin had to split the work out to cover me. My failure.
Maybe it's all my figment of imagination, or I'm just acting on adrenaline and plain sensitive at that time. I could not bring myself to say sorry and not recognising the possible pitfalls of the East Route.
Enough of that rambling I guess, since, I think you guys would get the point.
Back to the AHM thing, I was feeling really lethargic, and thoughts of dropping out of the run went through my mind. But I was thinking, "Should I?" Definitely thinking of someone, but I wish to complete, not because I paid, but because I felt that I should.
Rushing over to the gathering point for sgRunners, I realised all were ready and raring to go. And the sight of a white tee-shirt dude in sandals running to them certainly made them amused. Sigh. I was late, and it was 20 mins to the start of the race.
Went over to the toilet area to find cubicles for me to change, but there were none. Suddenly, I had an idea, and went straight down to the closed Esplanade carpark and did a quick "Superman".
Brother Kops helped me by passing the bag to the bag collection area, and I did a quick stretch to warm up my muscles. Not having enough sleep, certainly made me think twice about pushing for a PB this time round. I knew immediately I could not, not even with heaps of ice-cream waiting for me.
And the competitive runners went off without me knowing. Wow.
So, I was stuck in the non-competitive crowd with Kops and his friend, and I hoped to start slow, so as to see whether I was up to it. Not having any sleep prior to the run, certainly made me feel uneasy. But I just had to go. And off I went.
The first 3km was relatively easy and slow, since I decided not to push it and get in front of the looming pack. A bottleneck was created en route up the highway, and I reckoned we lost about 2 minutes during the walk-a-thon.
After that, met up with Yuan Ern, and both of us ran on till the ECP turning point.
Waterpoints till then were minimal, and lots of runners had covered the floor with water and styrofoam cups before us. Gee. Talk about environmentally friendliness. Did not manage to grab a drink at all the waterpoints, since it was often crowded by people. And demand exceeded supply.
Okay, so I managed to keep a relatively comfortable (but slow) pace of 10km in 1 hour, and I decided to push it, seeing that my body could take it. Yuan Ern decided to give it up, and continued at his own pace. I just went off, and met some Army friends (Wee Siong, Lawrence and Jason) on the way to the finishing mark.
Luckily, it was not too hot and sunny on the way back. I was briefly surprised, and it helped me. I could feel my head going giddy at times, and body shaking briefly. But still, I was pushing, and thinking of people, friends, and family. Flashes of her passed me by, but I think that was the work of the tired mind.
Anyway, managed to reach the ending point without much problems. No cramps, no stiches, nothing. Must be the food helping (i.e Blk 85 Bak Chor Mee). The gun time showed 2:13, but I doubted the accuracy for me, since I went off with a different group. Definitely lower, but I'll just wait for the results.
After the run, it was like a sudden loss of adrenaline. I bet I was running purely on a combination of adrenaline and thoughts of her. Messaged people after the run, but I guess she's asleep then.
Met up with some 6DSMBians, including CPT Darren and SSG Koh, and it was great meeting up with them. Time really flies.
And all who saw me said I became thinner. REALLY? Sighz.
Messaged Wanling also, since I knew she was taking part in the 12km run. She finished it. Yipee! Haha. Though I never met up with her today, cos she's with her friends.
After that, my body never crumpled, it just switched off. Mentally, I was drained, and I just collected my bag, took my goodie bag, and found the sgRunners people. Drowning myself in Gatorade, my body screamed for sleep.
Which is what I'll do now. ^_^
I've gotta thank Bro Kops for sending me home. I KO'ed all the way till the destination, yet he was awake. Many thanks, pal.
Time to think of homework after the snooze. Sighz. Life is so demanding, but I'm challenging it to the best of my ability.

Just thought I might give some updates and a summary of recent events, since I think my mind would be in a fresher frame of mind after an early morning run today.
1) Eups jie has left for Switzerland. Sigh. Time really flies, and I hope she takes care. Cya back in this little red dot soon jie ;)
2) I've joined Rovers, and I'm the Hon Financial Secretary. WOW. (*lol*) Life in Rovers is great, and I'm glad I've people who are nice to work with ^_^
3) I'm a proud owner of an iBook G4, souped up lately by Apple in the bid to freshen its line of products.
4) I've participated in 2 competitive runs so far this month, with a couple more to come, mainly: AHM and SCM.
5) I think school is like a vacuum cleaner. Really. I doubt any student would disqualify THIS statement.
6) I've just found my SingPass. (Yea, under that heap of old letters and flyers. sighz)
I listen to you with my mind
I do things for you with my heart
I hereby, hand you my soul
Forever, and ever
Thanks Weichuan, for your words. I guess it was true...after a night of thought.
Thanks Qingyi, maybe it's true, maybe it's not. We'll never know ;)

What defines "Friendship"? What defines "Love"?
I should begin on the premise that friendship cannot be forged without both parties liking each other, should it be looks, character or any other reasons.
Love, Like, Lust. The three Ls which deal with relationships.
It's a known fact that Like precedes a friendship, while Lust might make the Like go further on, and become a relationship. Then where does Love fit in?
It's such a grey area between the 3 Ls. In fact, I doubt there's a clear definition of them, except of the well-known fact that Lust is something 'evil'. Haha.
A quote which I remembered from my Army days was: Man's Looks + Woman's Looks = 100%. The basis of this statement by that person? Look on the streets and watch at the couples who pass you by. It's almost certain that a good-looking guy would end up with an average looking lady, or vice versa.
I've come to see a co-relation of that sort, but many times have I seen couples who defy this simple theory (let's call it the "I-Theory" for now). First, this theory assumes that looks is the predominant factor in a guy choosing a girl (or vice versa); Second, it presumes that other factors do not even get a whiff in a relationship (which is so damn wrong).
Come to think of it, it depends on the person, really. To me, I'd prefer to have someone who I can talk to and relate to. Not necessarily someone cutesy and cuddly (lol!), but someone who's able to "click" with me.
And talking about this, Shuang Hui was telling me that if I were to want to find a girl, I should open my eyes big big (maybe using toothpicks?) and look at the ladies, having 3 or more trips per semester would definitely increase my chances on finding the "right" girl.
Or maybe she's there already? Somewhere...
Or just, I'm pretty blur what my true feelings are for the person(s). I've not really thought much into it, and I guess I'm hesitant when it comes to a relationship. It's not just a trek into the unknown, but you wonder whether she will be able to accept you if you've made the first move in confessing your true feelings for her.
Moreover, what is the minimum amount of time to express your feelings for a girl? Is there a set limit? I myself doubt it, and I can't seem to find an opportune moment to state it. Maybe, a fear of rejection. Maybe, it's just that the person is too nice to you, and you misinterpret her actions to you as that of liking you. And the latter makes the situation worse. Worst come to worst, a friendship that was will just break down.
Oh well, and Shuang Hui, if u're reading this...don't start anything...HAHA.

Today was the start of our Rovers booth days, in order to promote our upcoming event Cyclohunt, as well as the Lumbong trip and Diving courses available (definitely cheaper than that given by the Diving Sub-Club. Haha!) Learnt new things today, everyday.
And I guess I must be damn blur to mix up on the orders today. Argh. Lack of sleep? Maybe.
Went for a run with Eugene yesterday, from NUS to Science to South Buona Vista Road, then down to Holland Road and Clementi Road, then looping behind SP's Dover Road for additional mileage, and hitting back to NUS. The total distance was unknown to us, but definitely more than 12km. Eugene was freaking fast, and I reckoned our pace was like that of a 10km Road Race pacing.
Pressurised to improve on myself further, considering that I'm too lean to be true.
Talking about pressure, school really sucks. Especially when you enter into a tutorial room with other students already asking the tutor on questions which are not in the tutorial!
Pressurised by peers to work harder. Slog? Maybe...
But I guess the only thing which kept me sane was someone? Hmmm...I'm not too sure, but Rovers definitely made me sane. Haha. Finding people who could click. And laughing is a relief to me.
More importantly, it's the friendship that counts. Cutting out flyers yesterday evening wasn't great, with stomachs growling. And I met Noel, who was from the 22nd and 24th Rovers Comm! He's a real nice guy to talk to, maybe due to his profession...?
Went for a late dinner with Candice, Jorin and Noel at Clementi, and saw Weichuan and Huijun also. Mugging buddies, or so they said. Not really in the mood to pursue, haha.
Am a little tired, and I realise that many around me are too. Except for the muggers. They don't really deserve to be pitied 'cos they mugged. HAHA.
To you guys out there, who're sick, down with cough or flue, here's advice: Take care, 'cos your health is most dear to you. With good health, you can do what your heart and mind yearns to do...Physical sickness can be recovered in a short time, but if it's mental, it's all up to you...
Time to grab some snooze...
